Meet the Speakers

John Meade

John Meade (PhD, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is Professor of Old Testament at Phoenix Seminary where he teaches courses on the Old Testament. He is the author of Scribes and Scripture: The Amazing Story of How We Got the Bible (with Peter) and The Biblical Canon Lists from Early Christianity (with Ed Gallagher).

Peter Gurry

Peter Gurry (PhD, University of Cambridge) is Associate Professor of New Testament at Phoenix Seminary where he teaches courses on the New Testament. He is the author of Scribes and Scripture: The Amazing Story of How We Got the Bible (with John) and the editor of Myths and Mistakes in New Testament Textual Criticism (with Elijah Hixson).
